Zumbro Watershed Management Strategy and
Turbidity Total Maximum Daily Load Implementation
Plan Now Underway

In October, Norman Senjem was hired by the ZWP to write the
Zumbro Turbidity Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL)
Implementation Plan as well as a larger, Watershed Management
Strategy document. The project will go through June 2013 and
seeks to include citizen involvement throughout the process.

To kick-off the process, ZWP held two Watershed Colloquiums on
December 14th, 2011 which allowed citizens and agency
stakeholders a chance to discuss the Zumbro River and how it
could be improved. The colloquiums were well attended and will
be followed-up with quarterly meetings on interested citizens.

Next Meeting: The next meeting to discuss the Zumbro Watershed
Management Strategy will be Thursday, January 26th at 7 PM at
the Cascade Meadow Wetlands & Environmental Science Center.
